FAQs

Mr Wolfs world famous coat check is a state of the art system of shopping baskets on shelves. Items are left at your own risk and we cannot accept any liability for your items. While the cloakroom is free to use, we do welcome charity donations by cash or card. Look for the cloakroom sign at the end of the bar and a member of staff will find you a basket and give you a number. Please be aware that this does fill up.

We are a late night venue so please call the bar in the evening, email bar@mrwolfs.com or pop in and ask in person.

We are located on St Nicholas Street in Bristol which is pedestrianised between 11am and 5am, so it is not possible to drive directly up to the venue during our opening hours. High Street, Baldwin Street steps and the barriers (that close the road) at either end of St Stephens Street are within 1 or 2 minutes walk.

There are a total of 5 steps from street level into the venue. The back section of the building is 1 further step up and this is where the toilets are situated. Staff are on hand and more than happy to offer any assistance if requested.

Mr Wolfs is an 18+ venue. We operate a challenge 21 policy so please bring ID with you.

Wear whatever makes you happy. However, we reserve the right to turn away large groups, in particular Stag Parties or Pub Golf. We want everyone who comes to Mr Wolfs to feel safe and comfortable. If this happens and you have purchased tickets, a full refund will be processed within 7 working days.

Our tickets are provided by Headfirst and can be purchased via our website (www.mrwolfs.com/tickets). Please be aware that tickets are for specific events and if you arrive after the event, payment will be taken on the door. For example, if you have a ticket for Red Hot Chili Peppers who finished at 11:30pm, and you turn up at 2am for the DJ – your ticket will not be valid.

We aim to keep our door charges to a minimum, ensuring Mr Wolfs remains accessible to everyone. However, we charge up to £5 on the door at our busier times. This money is used to pay for the wide range of entertainment that Mr Wolfs offers 7 nights a week.

All times are subject to change but standard charging times are as follows:
Monday – Free entry all night
Tuesday – £3 or £5 during term time
Wednesday – Free Entry all night (£1 quiz/bingo entry)
Thursday – £5 for live music until 11:30pm
Friday – £5 from 9pm
Saturday – £5 from 9pm
Sunday – £5 for Comedy ticket / Free from 9pm

Last Entry is 1 hour before closing. We reserve the right to refuse entry at the door staff or management’s discretion.

During term time we have a long standing relationship with UOB’s Jazz Funk Soul Society every Tuesday night. They alternate between £3 entry for the Jam nights and £5 entry for band nights.

On other nights of the week please show your student card at the door for reduced entry.

Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesday all offer student drinks deals.

Please contact musicbookings@mrwolfs.com with information about your band, where you are based and most importantly links to your music!

Mr Wolfs is a late night venue so we tend to favour lively bands, particularly over the weekend.

We get a large volume of applications so we ask for your patience, and understanding that we cannot book everyone.

We offer a number of open stage events if you wish to just turn up and play. Mr Wolfs Open Mic runs every Monday from 8pm and The Donut Filler Open Jam every Wednesday from 9pm.

Pizza is available on Sundays for the seated comedy show and on select days when the roof terrace is open.

Keep an eye on our social media for the Pay The Time Pizza and Drink deal!

Unfortunately we are no longer able to serve the famous noodles that started it all.

Yes we offer a free carer/support worker ticket. Please email musicbookings@mrwolfs.com.

Please send a CV with a brief cover letter to bar@mrwolfs.com. Please be aware that we are a late night venue and you must be available to work evenings and weekends.
